APBA Honors Tim Seebold

Detroit, MI: 2/1/08:  At this year’s APBA annual meetings in Detroit, 2007 F1 ChampBoat Series Champion Tim Seebold was honored with the APBA Hall of Champions award. ChampBoat Series Race Director, Duke Waldrop was also honored for his lifetime dedication to powerboat racing with the highest APBA award, the “Honor Squadron”.


Tim Seebold of course was celebrated for his stellar 2007 championship performance as he clinched the 2007 F1/ChampBoat Series title. It was the first Hall of Champions induction for Seebold who has won over 14 career championships, including five F1/ChampBoat championships in his stellar career which keeps getting better. Tim, who already passed father Bill’s F1/Champ win total (18), now closes in on Brother Mike Seebold’s all time win total (26); just four away from taking the top race win honors.

Duke Waldrop, also a many time powerboat racing champion, was celebrated by the entire APBA community with its premier “Honor Squadron” award. In an emotional ceremony, which included Duke’s family, he was honored for his “lifelong dedication” of powerboat racing achievements and accomplishments.

The ChampBoat Series now sets its sites on a new season. The new F1 ChampBoat Series will prove to be extremely exciting with many new changes, new events, new teams and world class HDTV.
